Belief Statement

TEACH Athlete Belief Statement

Our Foundation

TEACH Athlete is a biblically based organization committed to upholding biblical beliefs and standards and teaching from a biblical worldview. Our hope is to develop Christ-centered children, youth, and adults who will impact the world through the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

All are welcome. At registration, all attendees and participants acknowledge that they understand TEACH Athlete has a belief statement and agree to respect it. This expectation extends to families and all guests.

We will not tolerate attempts to indoctrinate others in beliefs that do not adhere to biblical teachings.

What We Believe

1. The Bible

We believe the Bible, both Old and New Testaments, is the inspired, infallible, and authoritative Word of God. It is the supreme and final authority in all matters of faith, conduct, and truth.

Scripture: 2 Timothy 3:16–17; 2 Peter 1:20–21

2. God

We believe in one God, eternally existent in three Persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. God is holy, sovereign, and full of love and justice.

Scripture: Deuteronomy 6:4; Matthew 28:19; 2 Corinthians 13:14

3. Jesus Christ

We believe in:

  • The deity of our Lord Jesus Christ — John 1:1–14.
  • His virgin birth — Isaiah 7:14; Matthew 1:23.
  • His sinless life — Hebrews 4:15.
  • His miracles.
  • His atoning death through His shed blood — Romans 5:8–9.
  • His bodily resurrection — 1 Corinthians 15:3–4.
  • His ascension to the right hand of the Father — Acts 1:9–11.
  • His personal return in power and glory — Revelation 19:11–16.

4. The Holy Spirit

We believe the Holy Spirit is fully God and actively working in the world to convict of sin, regenerate the believer, and empower Christians for holy living and service.

Scripture: John 14:26; Acts 1:8; Galatians 5:22–23

5. Salvation

We believe that all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God and are in need of salvation through Jesus Christ alone.

Salvation is by grace through faith, not by works, and results in a transformed life of obedience and love.

Scripture: Romans 3:23; John 14:6; Acts 4:12; Ephesians 2:8–9

6. Humanity and the Image of God

We believe that all people are created in the image of God and therefore possess inherent dignity and worth.

God created humanity as male and female, equal in value yet distinct in role and function, according to His perfect design.

Scripture: Genesis 1:26–27

7. Marriage, Sexuality, and the Family

We believe that marriage is a sacred covenant instituted by God between one man and one woman. It is the exclusive context for sexual intimacy and is designed to reflect the relationship between Christ and the Church.

We affirm the biblical standard of purity in singleness and faithfulness in marriage. Any form of sexual activity outside of this covenant is contrary to God’s design.

Scripture: Genesis 2:24; Matthew 19:4–6; Ephesians 5:31–32

8. The Church

We believe the Church is the Body of Christ, made up of all true believers. It exists to worship God, build up believers, proclaim the gospel, and serve the world in love.

Christian education is a ministry of the Church and home working in partnership.

Scripture: 1 Corinthians 12:12–27

9. The Sanctity of Life

We believe that human life is sacred from conception to natural death.

All people, including the unborn, elderly, disabled, and marginalized, are created by God and deserve protection, compassion, and care.

Scripture: Psalm 139:13–16; Jeremiah 1:5

10. The Return of Christ and Eternal Destiny

We believe in the personal, visible return of Jesus Christ.

There will be a bodily resurrection of the just and unjust. The saved will enjoy eternal life with God, and the lost will face eternal separation from Him.

Scripture: Acts 1:11; Revelation 22:12–13; John 5:28–29; Revelation 20:11–15

11. Christian Education and Discipleship

We believe education is not morally neutral. It is a process of discipleship and worldview formation.

We seek to provide a Christ-centered education that integrates biblical truth into all areas of study, character development, and daily life. Our goal is to equip students to love God, think critically, and serve faithfully in His world.

Scripture: Deuteronomy 6:6–9; Proverbs 1:7
